[Charleston/SC-Mar.12] While designing baseball jerseys, graphic shirts, and a Kanye West custom fabric dress, Aysha Meadows, of Charleston, quickly realized that her first collection of plus size women’s clothing line was inspired by the internet.
“Because of the Internet”, is the Spring/Summer collection from Fat Medusa, a new street wear brand designed specifically for women sizes 12 to 22.
“You will find an eclectic group of designs that are drawn from my inspirations to the things that I see via social media such as Tumblr or Instagram,” said Meadows. “I felt compelled to re-create.”
“Because of the Internet”, will be showcased on Wednesday, March 19 at Wasabi’s of Charleston during “Curvy in the City.” Hosted by Johnny Caldwell, “Curvy in the City” is the official Launch Party/ Pop Up Shop for Fat Medusa.
“I am so hype to be hosting ‘Curvy in the City’”, Caldwell expressed. “It’s going to be a night of fashion and fun. Fat Medusa has some awesome pieces and she’s just getting started.”
